Our focus is on students who will require additional financial support to continue their post-high school education. We aim to provide all motivated Gunn graduates with the opportunity to attend college, regardless of their financial circumstances.
In over 50 years of Gunn Foundation’s scholarship giving, nearly 600 students have benefited from the generosity of the Gunn community. Donors include Gunn parents, students, teachers, administrators, alumni, and neighbors.

2022 Gunn Foundation Scholars:
We were pleased to grant $120,000 in need-based scholarships to 24 outstanding students from the Class of 2022. We celebrated their achievements with a festive dinner in the Gunn library.
2021 Gunn Foundation Scholars:
We were pleased to grant $118,000 in scholarships to 24 outstanding students from the Class of 2021. We celebrated their achievements with our first outdoor awards ceremony held in-person at the Senior Quad.
Despite the many pandemic-related restrictions, these students successfully navigated the college applications process. We are proud of them and are rooting for them as they head into their bright futures. Congratulations to the Class of 2021!
2020 Gunn Foundation Scholars:
In April, we were thrilled to grant $92,000 in scholarships to 23 amazing students from the Class of 2020. Although "shelter in place" meant canceling our annual luncheon, it did not diminish the pride we have and promise we see in these students.
Funded by the generosity of the Gunn community, these scholarships will provide an educational safety net to students, many whose families are disproportionately impacted by pandemic-related closures, so they can continue on their educational paths. Congratulations to the students!
2019 Gunn Foundation Scholars:
In April 2019, 30 seniors from the Class of 2019 were awarded $86,500 in scholarships at the annual Gunn Foundation luncheon. Students shared their post-high school plans and gave a shout out to family, friends, teachers and staff members who have been a source of inspiration and support for them.
2018 Gunn Foundation Scholars:
In 2018, a record $87,500 in scholarships were awarded to 35 students at the annual Gunn Foundation luncheon. Many students shared the event with a proud family member and all gave appreciation to a teacher or staff member who inspired and encouraged them to reach for their college dreams.
2017 Gunn Foundation Scholars:
For the Class of 2017, $78,000 in scholarships were awarded to 26 hardworking students. Most of these inspiring Gunn grads had overcome significant personal and financial challenges to continue their education and many were the first in their families to attend college. We look forward to watching them succeed in their goals.
