SAVE THE DATE for Gunn Foundation's Dine Out Fundraiser at State of Mind Slice House (3850 El Camino Real, Palo Alto) on Tuesday 11/29/22 from 4 pm - 9 pm!


Take a break from the kitchen after your Thanksgiving cooking marathon! State of Mind Slice House will donate 20% of your bill to Gunn Foundation, which funds need-based scholarships for Gunn students. Dine in or order online for take out. Please remember to mention Gunn Foundation to the host when ordering.

Gunn Foundation Board Member Opportunity

At Gunn Foundation, we provide need-based scholarships to our deserving Gunn seniors. We are currently seeking enthusiastic, creative and hardworking candidates to join our dedicated team of volunteer board members. All are encouraged to apply but we have an urgent need for candidates with backgrounds in IT, finance/investment planning and web design. We are accepting applications for three-year terms to begin in April 2023. Please click on this link to submit your 2023-2024 Gunn Foundation Board Application. Gunn Foundation Scholarship Application

The Gunn Foundation Scholarship Application will be available in January 2023. Please click here for 2023 application information. Students, for more details about signing up for Going Merry and applying for a Gunn Foundation scholarship, please contact Leighton Lang at Llang@pausd.org or Lorenzo Gomez at Lgomez@pausd.org or just head over to the College and Career Center.

Back-to-School Packet is now live.

Back-to-school Online Link: www.tinyurl.com/gunnbacktoschool is live. The packet contains important information about the school and the many organizations on campus, how to join the PTSA, and opportunities to donate to Gunn Foundation, Gunn PTSA, and PiE.

Look for Gunn Foundation's donation form in the online back-to-school packet. Please consider a donation to help make a Gunn student's college dreams a reality. Any amount is appreciated and will make a difference.

Recent Events

Gunn Foundation's Back to School Social on August 24, 2022, was a big success! Thank you all for coming out to this fun event. We hope everyone had a great time. Special thanks to the marvelous Matt Hall for his amazing juggling skills and to Todd Summers and the very talented Gunn Wind Ensemble for their rousing musical performance.


The food trucks were popular with the Gunn crowds.

Freshman Quad was the perfect picnic site.

The talented Gunn Wind Ensemble delivered amazing performances.

Gunn Girls Varsity Volleyball Team enjoyed a post-practice treat at the Oaxacan Kitchen food truck.

Lawn games were a big hit with the students. Jenga, anyone?

From Wed Feb 23th - Feb 25th Local Kitchen on California Ave in Palo Alto will donate a portion of your bill to Gunn Foundation, which funds need-based scholarships for students. Dine at their open-air and socially-distanced tables or do take-out. Discover a brand new location in Palo Alto and come support the Class of 2022!

On Tuesday, October 27th ALL DAY, Gott's Roadside restaurant in Town & Country shopping plaza will donate a portion of your bill to Gunn Foundation, which funds need-based scholarships for students. Back to School Social - Wed, August 25th, 2021 - 3:30-5:00 PM

Gunn Foundation is organizing a BTS Ice Cream Social. Open to Gunn students and staff only this year due to current PAUSD restrictions. Tell your students to save the date!


Dine Out at Terun – February 25th, 2020

On Tuesday, February 25th Terun Pizza at 448 California Avenue will donate 15% of all sales – lunch or dinner – from customers who mention they are dining out in support of the Gunn Foundation. Enjoy lunch or dinner al fresco at Terun while supporting need-based scholarships for Gunn students. Remember to mention the Gunn Foundation to the hostess, your server or when making a reservation.


Dine Out at Gott’s – Nov 4th, 2019

On Monday, November 4th between 5 and 9pm, Gott’s Roadhouse will donate 10% of your bill to the Gunn Foundation to fund need-based scholarships for students from the Class of 2020. Grab some friends and head to Gott’s Roadhouse Town & Country Village in Palo Alto for great, locally sourced California road-house classics. Dine out for dinner (from 5-9pm). If you pre-order your dinner online, please mention the Gunn Foundation.


Second Annual Back-to-School Social – SEPTEMBER 4, 2019:

The hugely popular Back-to-School social was a great success. Thank you to all the Gunn students, athletes, families, staff, and alumni who turned out for this fall social event. There were picnics, games, food trucks and the Gunn Wind Ensemble. It was a fun time for all.


2019-20 Back-to-School Donation Drive

Each year the all-volunteer board of the Gunn Foundation works to raise enough money within the Gunn Community to fund enough need-based scholarships for graduating students. Join our Back-to-School Fundraiser by donating on our Donate page, our Facebook Page, or by downloading our 2019-20_bts_campaign_flyer and mailing us a check. Every amount matters to our students.
